Notes

-
layer different tracks to create more diverse sounds
-
adjust volume of each track to create different emphasis
-
stick around -12 dB
What did you do?

-
removed the original audio and created a new soundtrack by following the flow of the scenes in the video
-
recorded the keys I pressed on my keyboard, but since it was hard to get the timing right, I mostly had to edit them afterwards by duplicating, extending, shortening, and removing notes.
-
used different instruments to attempt to create a piece with variety.

What tools or skills did it require?

-
GarageBand
-
headphones to properly hear and sync the sounds
-
very basic musical knowledge

What did you learn? How could you adapt it to other projects or contexts?
-
I didn't know it was possible to create so many sounds digitally. I learned that the possibilities are endless, we don't need a band or an orchestra to create complex pieces. When I will shoot my first short film, I'll definitely make a bit of my own soundtrack using an application like this.
