Notes

-
use mark-in and mark-out tools to select parts to drag from the source
-
drag only video by holding the video icon (on the left) under the source video. Similarly, drag only audio by holding the audio icon (on the right)
-
stick around -12 dB
-
use key-frames (little diamonds) to adjust volume with more freedom and flow
What did you do?

-
marked and cut parts I wanted to keep, removed parts I didn't want. Placed them in a different order to create a new chain of events. Stitched clips together to present a new scene and to tell a story
-
Added text for dialogue

What tools or skills did it require?

-
Adobe Premiere Pro
-
Basic understanding of video montage and sound adjustment. From cutting and duplicating clips, to adjusting the speed and frame ratio, etc.

What did you learn? How could you adapt it to other projects or contexts?
-
Editing videos with an actual software with a timeline is much easier than on cellphone apps. There is so much diversity in the possible effects and juxtapositions. Someday I'd like to try using the funky effects and transitions to create some not-so-serious short videos.
